JUNE BREAKFAST IS SET FOR THE 14th, JULY on the 12th, AUGUST on the 9th!

Welcome to the Twin Cities American Legion Post 313 Website.

Memorial Day is said to be the unofficial start of summer, and Marin County Veteran's beautifully celebrated our fallen heroes at our annual ceremony held at the Civic Center.  Kevin Graves, a Gold Star Dad and our keynote speaker, lost his only son, Army Spc Joseph "Joey" Graves, who was killed on 25 July 2006.  Joey's convoy escort was ambushed in Baghdad, Iraq.  He was 21 years old.  Kevin shared the pain he suffered on hearing of his son's death and how, wanting to help others, started The Joey Graves Foundation.  This non-profit charity is committed to honoring the fallen, supporting those who fight, and serving their families. To learn more about the foundation, look for "Some Gave All-The Joey Graves Foundation" at somegaveall.us.

Looking forward to July 4th, we have another opportunity to show our appreciation for our great country.  For Larkspur, long-standing traditions like the parade and the annual pancake breakfast, bring  people together to celebrate together.  The Pancake Breakfast, held at the American Legion parking lot, is also a major fundraiser for Scouting America Troop 43 (formerly Boy Scouts of America).  American Legion Post 313 is the sponsor and avid supporter of the Troop and takes great pride in their accomplishments.

We are proud to announce that our Post has joined the Larkspur Chamber of Commerce and hope to cooperate on projects with them in the future.

We eagerly look forward to having prospective new members join us on Monday and Thursday morning at 9:00 AM in the Club Room.  Don't forget our monthly $5 full breakfast also held in our Club Room.  Please RSVP if you plan to attend by emailing Bob Gonzalez at bobsrags@gmail.com.  We are growing in popularity! Mark your calendar for Saturday June14, July 12, and August 9.

Wishing you a happy summer,  Jackie Tribolet, Commander
